Canada says it suspects India involved in Sikh leader murder

Canada has expelled a senior Indian intelligence official and accused the Indian government of being involved in the murder of a Sikh separatist leader in British Columbia. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called it an “unacceptable violation of our sovereignty.” India, in turn, expressed strong concerns about Sikh protesters in Canada. The worsening bilateral ties have led to a freeze in trade talks between the two countries.
