The five-day session of Parliament, taking place in the new Parliament building, is expected to witness support from various parties for the women’s reservation bill. At the all-party meeting, parties from both the ruling and opposition sides expressed their support for the bill, with only a few exceptions. The bill aims to reserve one-third of all seats in the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies for women. BJP ally NCP has urged the government to pass the bill during this session.
