The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) plans to raise the issue of its leader’s arrest by the Andhra Pradesh Police in Parliament. TDP MP Ram Mohan Naidu stated that they will also seek measures to fast-track criminal cases involving politicians. The YSR Congress, in power in the state, objected to these claims and maintained that the law has taken its course in the corruption case. Naidu’s arrest is related to an alleged multi-crore corruption scam involving misappropriation of funds.
