Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge has expressed disappointment over receiving a late invitation to the flag hoisting function in the new Parliament building on Sunday. In a letter to the Rajya Sabha Secretary General, Kharge explained that he had already scheduled meetings of the Congress Working Committee in Hyderabad for September 16 and 17. As a result, he will not be able to attend the function and will return to Delhi on September 17.
