The Maharashtra government has stated that it will not disrupt the Other Backward Class (OBC) quota, according to Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. This comes in response to protests against including the Maratha community in the OBC category for reservation purposes. Fadnavis has appealed to OBC members to end their protests in Nagpur and Chandrapur. The state government has clarified that it will not reduce or share the OBC quota.
