SC upholds Delhi govt order banning sale, use and storage of firecrackers

The Supreme Court has refused to interfere with Delhi government’s ban on the sale and usage of firecrackers. The ban, aimed at combating high pollution levels during the winter months, includes the prohibition of online sales and follows similar blanket bans in previous years. Delhi’s Environment Minister emphasized the health risks posed by firecrackers and urged neighboring states to replicate Delhi’s efforts.
