Opposition wants house panel to hear views of Fali, Lalit and Lokur on crime laws

Opposition MPs in the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs have suggested seeking the views of former Chief Justice of India UU Lalit, former Supreme Court judge Madan Lokur, and jurist Fali Nariman on proposed bills meant to replace criminal justice laws. The committee is examining the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita Bill, 2023; the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita Bill, 2023; and the Bharatiya Sakshya Bill, 2023.
